FREE Family Outdoor Festival at NASCC
Corpus Christi, April 8, 2004 The whole family will have loads of action-packed fun at the 2004 Earth Day-Bay Day celebration! Start the day off with a 4.4-mile race on Sunset Beach, then take a Walk Through the Wetlands, or kayak on beautiful Corpus Christi Bay. Stroll through the Texas Zoo traveling exhibit, and learn about native birds, reptiles and mammals. Then challenge yourself on the 32-foot Rock Climbing Wall. Earth Day-Bay Day provides a unique opportunity for citizens to learn about our bays and estuaries, wetlands, native plants and animals, recycling, conservation and other environmental issues. Everyone is invited to come out on Saturday, April 17, 2004 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi (North Gate/Ocean Drive entrance). The newest exhibits this year are sure to be a big hit kite surfing, disk golf, kite flying, sailing, and much more. Special performances by Patriots Band, Rocky Benton, Flour Bluff NJROTC Drill Team, In Mint Condition, Dicky Neely Blues Band and Texas Gypsies are sure to get your toes tapping while eating some delicious food. Youll hear from top experts about the importance of water and energy conservation, protecting our natural resources, recycling and how you can start backyard composting. Over 91 exhibitors will have something to offer the outdoor enthusiasts. You dont want to miss the most exciting and adventurous event of the year Earth Day-Bay Day and its FREE!
Exhibitor booths are also available for the promotion of educational exhibits, organizations or environmentally safe products.
